Turkey Brine

This is a recipe our butcher gave me to brine turkeys for Thanksgiving
Ingredients
- 8 oz Granulated Garlic
- 8 oz Kosher Salt
- 13 oz Dark Brown Sugar
- Pinch of Ground Thyme
Instructions
- Fill food safe, 5 gallon bucket, half full of cold water
- Dissolve all ingredients into water, using immersion blender if you have one
- Place turkey in solution, making sure solution covers bird completely
- Place lid on bucket and put in refrigerator or ice filled cooler for 24 hours.
- Remove Thanksgiving morning and rinse thoroughly before beginning your normal preparation
