Another of my favorite cookies
Ingredients
  • Cookies
  • 1 Pack Yeast, dry
  • 3 C Flour, all-purpose
  • 1 C Butter; softened
  • 3 Egg yolks
  • 8 Oz Sour cream
  • Filling
  • ½ C Sugar
  • ½ C Pecans; chopped
  • ¾ tsp Cinnamon, ground
  • Powdered Sugar Glaze
  • 2 C Sugar, powdered
  • 3 Tbs Milk
Instructions
  1. Dough
  2. Combine yeast and flour
  3. Add butter, mixing well.
  4. Stir in egg yolks and sour cream.
  5. Shape dough into 4 balls;
  6. Wrap in waxed paper,
  7. Refrigerate overnight.
  8. Filling
  9. Combine sugar, pecans, and cinnamon;
  10. Set aside
  11. Powdered Sugar Glaze
  12. Combine sugar and milk, stirring until smooth.
  13. Yield: about 1 cup.
  14. Prepare
  15. Work 1 portion of dough at a time;
  16. Place on a lightly floured surface,
  17. Roll into a ¼ inch thick circle.
  18. Spread ¼ cup sugar mixture evenly over each circle,
  19. Cut into 16 equal wedges.
  20. Roll up each wedge, beginning at wide end and rolling to point;
  21. Seal points firmly.
  22. Place on greased baking sheets, point side down.
  23. Bake at 350 degrees for 18 minutes or until lightly browned.
  24. Transfer to wire racks;
  25. Drizzle with glaze while still warm.
