TGI Friday's Jack Daniels Glaze
Author: Melissa/Persnickity Plates
Our family has always been a big fan of this sauce. Years ago Mom and Dad were able to buy it at their local Friday's. I have always wanted to be able to reproduce it. I found Melissa's recipe and tweaked it a little and think it is pretty much spot on.
Ingredients
- 2 Tbs Minced Garlic
- 2 Tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1⅓ C Water
- 2 C Dole Pineapple Juice
- ½ C PF Chang's Teriyaki Sauce
- 2 Tbs Soy Sauce
- 2⅔ C Dark Brown Sugar
- 6 Tbs Lemon Juice
- 3 Tbs Minced White Onion
- 2 Tbs Jack Daniels Whiskey
- 2 Tbs Dole Crushed Pineapple
- 1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the water, pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce and brown sugar over medium heat.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- Then reduce the heat until mixture is just simmering
- Add the minced garlic and whisk to combine
- Add olive oil, lemon juice, minced white onions, whiskey, crushed pineapple and cayenne pepper
- Whisk to combine
- Let the mixture simmer for 40 to 50 minutes or until the sauce has reduced by about half and is thick and syrupy.
