Ingredients
- 1 qt. Half & Half
- 2 sticks Butter
- 8 oz. Cream Cheese
- 12 oz. Shaved Parmesan Cheese
- 6 oz. Shaved Italian Cheese Blend
- 2 tbs. Granulated Garlic
- Kosher Salt
- Pepper
- Italian Seasoning
- Whole Milk
Instructions
- Lay two sticks of butter in bottom of saucepan with 8 oz. Cream Cheese on top.
- Allow butter to melt over low heat. Cream cheese will soften while the butter melts.
- Once butter is melted, whisk butter and cream cheese until smooth.
- Add Half & Half, continuing to whisk until well blended.
- Add Parmesan Cheese, 1 cup at a time, whisk until smooth.
- Add granulated garlic, kosher salt, pepper and Italian seasoning.
- Simmer for 15 - 20 min. on low heat mixing with whisk.
- Let simmer longer as needed to thicken but not on higher heat to keep from separating, continuing whisking to maintain consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasonings to taste.
- Add whole milk a splash at a time as you balance the flavor from a cheese sauce to a cream sauce
