From the campfire to the kitchen!
  • 18 whole graham crackers, crumbled into small pieces
  • 2 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup light Karo corn syrup
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 6 (1.55 oz each) milk chocolate bars
  • 1 pkg (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • ⅓ cup mini chocolate chips
  1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Combine crackers with cereal in large mixing bowl, set aside
  3. Cook corn syrup and sugar in saucepan over medium heat 4-5 minutes, until mixture comes to a boil just around the edges, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in butter baking soda and vanilla
  5. Pour syrup over cereal mixture and stir to coat completely
  6. Transfer to greased 13 x 9 inch pan; press firmly to level
  7. Place chocolate bars in a single layer over cereal mixture; sprinkle with marshmallows
  8. Bake in pre-heated oven for 5-8 minutes or until marshmallows are puffed and lightly browned.
  9. Remove from oven and top with mini chocolate chips
  10. Refrigerate for 1 hour until firm; cut into squares
  11. Store in tightly covered container for up to 2 days
