Taco Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 lb. Ground Beef
- 1 sm. Onion, chopped
- ½ tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1 pkg. Taco Seasoning Mix
- 1 8oz. can Tomato Sauce
- 1 C. Sour Cream
- 1 C. low-fat cottage cheese
- 2 C. crushed Tortilla Chips
- 2 C. Cheddar Cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- In skillet, brown ground beef and drain.
- Add onion, garlic powder, taco seasoning mix, and tomato sauce.
- Mix and set aside.
- In med. bowl, combine sour cream and cottage cheese and set aside.
- Place ½ the crushed chips in bottom of 2½ qt. casserole dish that has been sprayed.
- Add enough meat mixture to cover chips.
- Cover next with half the sour cream mixture.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheese, and repeat layers.
- Bake uncovered 30 to 35 minutes until cheese melts and casserole is heated through.
- (If you would like your onions cooked more, put them in with the ground beef when it is browning.)
