  • 1 lb. Ground Beef
  • 1 sm. Onion, chopped
  • ½ tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 pkg. Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 1 8oz. can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 C. Sour Cream
  • 1 C. low-fat cottage cheese
  • 2 C. crushed Tortilla Chips
  • 2 C. Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. In skillet, brown ground beef and drain.
  3. Add onion, garlic powder, taco seasoning mix, and tomato sauce.
  4. Mix and set aside.
  5. In med. bowl, combine sour cream and cottage cheese and set aside.
  6. Place ½ the crushed chips in bottom of 2½ qt. casserole dish that has been sprayed.
  7. Add enough meat mixture to cover chips.
  8. Cover next with half the sour cream mixture.
  9. Sprinkle with shredded cheese, and repeat layers.
  10. Bake uncovered 30 to 35 minutes until cheese melts and casserole is heated through.
  11. (If you would like your onions cooked more, put them in with the ground beef when it is browning.)
  12. Enjoy!
