Texas Sheet Cake

This is one of my favorites and I am not a big chocolate fan. Nothing better than a big, cold glass of milk and an unhealthy amount of Texas Sheet Cake!
Ingredients
- Cake
- 1 stick Butter, softened
- 4 Eggs
- 1 C. Sugar
- 1 C. Flour
- 1 C. Hershey’s Syrup
- 1 C. Walnuts, chopped
- Icing
- 1 stick Butter
- 1 ½ C. Sugar
- ⅓ C. Evaporated Milk
- ½ C. Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Cake
- Cream Butter and Sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in Syrup, then Eggs, one at a time.
- Gradually beat in Flour.
- Fold in Nuts.
- Pour into greased 15 x 10 inch pan (jelly roll type pan).
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
- Do not substitute margarine.
- Icing
- In sauce pan combine Butter, Sugar, and Evaporated Milk.
- Bring to a boil and boil one minute.
- Stir in Chocolate Chips until melted.
- Frosting will be glossy.
- Spread evenly over cake
