This is one of my favorites and I am not a big chocolate fan. Nothing better than a big, cold glass of milk and an unhealthy amount of Texas Sheet Cake!
Ingredients
  • Cake
  • 1 stick Butter, softened
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 C. Sugar
  • 1 C. Flour
  • 1 C. Hershey’s Syrup
  • 1 C. Walnuts, chopped
  • Icing
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1 ½ C. Sugar
  • ⅓ C. Evaporated Milk
  • ½ C. Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions
  1. Cake
  2. Cream Butter and Sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in Syrup, then Eggs, one at a time.
  4. Gradually beat in Flour.
  5. Fold in Nuts.
  6. Pour into greased 15 x 10 inch pan (jelly roll type pan).
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
  8. Do not substitute margarine.
  9. Icing
  10. In sauce pan combine Butter, Sugar, and Evaporated Milk.
  11. Bring to a boil and boil one minute.
  12. Stir in Chocolate Chips until melted.
  13. Frosting will be glossy.
  14. Spread evenly over cake
